Harrison was incorporated in 1899 and was once the largest city on Lake Coeur d'Alene.

In 1917, about half of the residential area of Harrison and a number of businesses were burned in a major fire. Most of the town was never rebuilt after the fire. Harrison has remained a sleepy little town that spurs to life each summer to celebrate life on Lake Coeur d’ Alene.

Be sure to check out the Harrison Building which is the center of commerce in Harrison containing One Shot Charlies, The Grotto, Glass Crane, Sunset Gallary, O'Sussana's Hair Design, Duffey Realty, and of course HI Water Adventures, Inc.
